National Arboretum Fountain Grass (Pennisetum Alopecuroides)
National Arboretum is also known as "Black Flowering Fountain Grass". It blooms in late August or early September on stems that are held well above the foliage. A very striking fall blooming perennial grass! Beautiful, but like it's other Pennisetum cousin, Moudry, it can reseed itself in some locations.
